ACUC Urges Thorough Review of GAF’s Fleet After Helicopter Crash

Following a recent tragic helicopter crash involving the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), ACUC is calling on government and defence authorities to conduct a rigorous, transparent examination of all military aircraft operations.

The loss of lives in this incident raises serious concerns about aircraft maintenance, safety protocols, and operational oversight. ACUC’s key demands:

  • Independent audit of all GAF aircraft maintenance records.
  • Safety inspections on all helicopters and planes in active service.
  • Public release of findings and corrective measures.
  • Strengthening of aviation safety oversight bodies.
  • Clear accountability for failures in safety systems.

If Ghana’s military aviation is to remain credible, no corner can be left unchecked. ACUC stands ready to support reforms that protect lives and ensure the integrity of national security.
